Session 5
Revealing community structure and roles.
This session matters because strategic insight often depends on community structure rather than individual nodes. It builds on the micro-network lab by moving to meso-level clustering and role identification. Students compare community detection algorithms and interpret the stability of clusters. They produce a community structure report with labeled clusters and supporting evidence. Skills developed include clustering evaluation, algorithm selection, and narrative interpretation of network roles. The results set the stage for macro topology and ecosystem resilience analysis.
